With retention rates at 89% and waitpools continuing to grow at every program level, Discovery has the confidence of not only currently enrolled families but new families looking to choose the right learning environment for their child.
For the past several years, the Board of Trustees and Faculty/Staff have been working together to manage the demands of a growing student population within the limited footprint of the existing campus. This strong demand has led the Board to embark on a thoughtful strategic planning process over the past two years that has culminated in a facilities design that includes key components to meet existing and future needs for growth. In June 2018, the Board authorized the launch of a Capital Campaign to facilitate carrying out this vision.
It is the Board’s goal to complete the build-out while minimizing disruption to students and families. Shortening the timeframe for raising capital will allow for a concise construction window and limit disruption. With this in mind, the Board has set a goal of meeting the campaign target and collecting pledges over the next 3-5 years.
